Congratulations to Boris Heifets!!! Boris is one of the 2008 recipients of the Julius Marmur Research Awards. His abstract was entitled "Molecular mechanisms for a novel form of coincidence detection at inhibitory synapses in the brain." He completed his Ph.D. thesis research in the laboratory of Pablo E. Castillo, M.D., Ph.D. in the Department of Neuroscience. Boris will present a talk at the Marmur Symposium on Thursday March 27, 2008 at 9:30 AM in theForchheimer 3rd Floor Lecture Hall.
